GWADAR: At least three people were killed. five others injured when unidentified armed men opened indiscriminate fire on a vehicle in the Gwarago area of Panjgur district on Friday.
Police said the incident took place early in the morning at Katagri. near Fateh Ali, around 40 kilometres from Panjgur city. The attackers, who were reportedly lying in wait, intercepted the vehicle. opened fire with automatic weapons, killing three people on the spot and injuring five others.
The deceased were identified as Juma, son of Sadiq; Malik, son of Ghulam Qadir; and Zubair, son of Noora.
The injured were identified as Naseeb, Mayar, Chakar, Saboor, and Shaukat. They were shifted to nearby health facilities, where they received medical treatment.
No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack, while investigations are underway.
