Chinese FM calls on both sides to work together to make thorough preparations for the interactions
Chinese President Xi Jinping will pay a state visit to the United States in the autumn this year at the invitation of President Donald Trump. Chinese top diplomat Wang Yi said on Friday.
Wang made the announcement when briefing the press on thejust-concluded Xi-Trump meetingin Beijing.
He called on the two sides to work together to make thorough preparations for the interactions. exchanges between the two heads of state, foster a favourable atmosphere and build up more outcomes.

On his two-day visit. Trump on Thursday invited Xi to the White House for a visit on September 24 during a state banquet the Chinese president held for his American counterpart in Beijing.

Trump left China today with no major breakthroughs on trade or tangible help from Beijing to end the Iran war. despite two days spent heaping praise on his host.
Trump's visit to America's main strategic. economic rival, the first by a US president since his last trip in 2017, aimed for tangible results to lift his sagging approval ratings before the midterm elections in November.
While Trump searched for immediate business wins. such as a deal to sell Boeing jets that did not impress investors, Xi talked up along-term resetand pact to maintain stable trade ties with Washington, underscoring their differing priorities.
