KARACHI: Alleged drug queenpin Anmol alias Pinky was sent to jail on a 14-day judicial remand on Friday in multiple narcotics cases. a murder case.

Anmol wasarrestedearlier this month in Karachi in connection with two cases pertaining to the possession of narcotics. an unlicenced weapon. She hadalready been bookedin multiple criminal cases prior to her arrest. taking the number ofcasesactive against her to over a dozen.

On Friday, Anmol was brought to the Judicial Complex at Central Jail amid high security.

She was presented before the judicial magistrates concerned upon the completion of her physical remands in cases registered at the Baghdadi, Specialised Investigation Unit (SIU/CIA), Gizri. Darakhshan police stations.

Friday marked the completion of Anmol’s physical remands in a narcotics case. amurder case, as well as separateremandsin 10 “old” drug cases.

In all the cases, the prosecution requested further custody of the suspect.

However. she was sent to jail on judicial remand in all cases, while the investigation officers (IOs) were directed to produce a charge-sheet after completing their probe.

Earlier in the day, the South district. sessions judge had accepted the Darakhshan, Gizri, Garden and Defence police’s requests to present Anmol in the Judicial Complex.

Separately. the South Zone police have sought the Sindh government’s permission to dispatch a police team to Punjab for arresting 15 co-suspects in two cases in which Anmol was arrested.

In a letter dated Thursday. South Zone Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Syed Asad Raza requested Karachi Additional Inspector General (AIG) Azad Khan to forward the South SP Investigation’s request to the Home Department.

The co-suspects included Anmol’s former husband. “facilitator” Muhammad Akram, another ex-husband and “drug supplier” Nasir Ali Khan, her brother and “manager” Muhammad Nasir Bux, and another brother and “mule” Shaukat Bux.

Beesal Emika alias Anna and Humaira Chinonso Solomon were named as “lynchpins” between Pinky and an international drug cartel.

The list also included nine “drug carriers”, namely Faraz Mehmood Yaqoob, Muhammad Amin Khan Khanju, Ghulam Mustafa Ibrahim, Sajjad Hussain, Zafar Iqbal, Qazi Muhammad Asif, Sohail Mushtaq, Waris Khan. Muhammad Zahid Noor.

A Lahore sessions judge had directed the police to register a first information report (FIR) against a former deputy superintendent of police of the Organised Crime Unit. Rana Muhammad Akram, who is reported to be Anmol’s ex-husband.

In an order dated May 20, Judge Iqtidar Ali Khan disposed of a petition filed by stage actress Yasmeen Tabassam, known as Nigar Chaudhry, who had alleged that Akram had “conducted an illegal raid on her house. stolen away her property” worth Rs5.5 million in July 2024.

Noting that the Lahore police stated that Akram retired from police service on Feb 14, 2025, the order read: “It has become clear that police authority has failed to finalise departmental enquiry. to conclude about the guilt or innocence of the accused.”
