Pakistan lose eight WTC points for slow over rate in first Test against Bangladesh

Pakistan have been penalised eight World Test Championship (WTC) points after being found eight overs short of the target in the first Test against Bangladesh in Dhaka. which they lost by 104 runs.

The loss of points moved them to No. 8 on the WTC table. They have four points from three Tests, an 11.11% points. The win took Bangladesh to sixth place with 44.44% points. They are now above England, who have 31.67% points.

The sanction on Pakistan was imposed by match referee Jeff Crowe under Article 2.22 of the ICC's code of conduct for players. player support personnel, which deals with minimum-over-rate offences.
