ISLAMABAD: Leaders of the National Dialogue Committee (NDC), including Fawad Chaudhry, Muhammad Ali Durrani,. Waseem Shahzad, on Monday proposed the formation of a national government and constitutional reforms to address the country’s issues.
The NDC leaders were speaking at a press conference at the National Press Club.
They remarked that Field Marshal Asim Munir was being praised from Tehran to America, making him an internationally recognised figure.
They collectively emphasised that political stability, free. fair elections, strong democratic traditions, and a national government formed through national dialogue were the only ways to steer the country out of its current crises.
They demanded the formation of a national government and constitutional reforms in the country. They stated that the incumbent government was a de facto government rather than a de jure one. To ensure political stability and future elections based on Form 45, they argued that a national government must be established. They also called for a 28th Constitutional Amendment to effectively implement the 18th Amendment. devolve powers to the grassroots level.
