National Dialogue Com­mittee suggests formation of national govt

ISLAMABAD: Leaders of the National Dialogue Com­mittee (NDC), inclu­ding Faw­ad Chau­dhry, Muhammad Ali Durrani,. Waseem Shah­zad, on Monday proposed the formation of a national government and constitutional reforms to address the country’s issues.

The NDC leaders were speaking at a press conference at the National Press Club.

They remarked that Fi­­eld Marshal Asim Munir was being praised from Tehran to Ame­­rica, making him an internationally recognised figure.

They collectively emphasised that political stability, free. fair elections, strong democratic traditi­ons, and a national gover­nment formed through na­­tional dialogue were the only ways to steer the country out of its current crises.

They demanded the formation of a national government and constitutio­nal reforms in the country. They stated that the incumbent government was a de facto government rather than a de jure one. To ensure political stability and future elections based on Form 45, they ar­­gued that a national government must be established. They also called for a 28th Constitutional Ame­nd­ment to effectively implement the 18th Ame­ndment. devolve powers to the grass­­roots level.
