Indian actor Salman Khan has broken his silence over the controversy surrounding him after a viral hospital incident, calling out paparazzi behaviour. what he described as their insensitivity.

Sharing a series of pictures on Instagram. the actor addressed the incident directly after being photographed outside Mumbai’s Hinduja Hospital, where he had reportedly gone to visit an ailing family member.

While returning from the hospital, Salman Khan was reportedly swarmed by a crowd of paparazzi who aggressively followed his car, shouting his name. filming him. The situation escalated when the actor appeared visibly upset over what he considered insensitive behaviour during a private family matter.

Hours later. instead of issuing a formal PR statement, Salman took to social media himself, posting a bundle of close-up selfies accompanied by an intense caption that shared his side of the story.

In one post, the actor directly addressed the media, writing that if he ever saw members of the press outside a hospital “enjoying his pain”, despite the same media being people he had interacted with. supported for decades, then they should at least “keep quiet” instead of trying to profit from someone’s suffering.

He added that he had always ensured they “earned their bread. butter”, but criticised those attempting to make content out of a moment of grief.

In another set of photos, Salman wrote, “Bhai bhai bhai Matrabhumi picture.. pic imp hai ya life (All this ‘bhai bhai bhai’. ‘Matrubhumi’ chanting… to hell with the film, is a picture more important or someone’s life?)”, referring to the crowd repeatedly shouting the name of his upcoming film during the tense moment.

The post then took a more serious turn as Salman issued a warning to intrusive paparazzi culture. “Hai k ek bhai k dukh par agli baar try kar lena mere sath.. Jab bhi tumhara koi hospital mai hoga kya mai aisa react karoonga?” he wrote. which translates to, “If you want to try this next time over a brother’s grief, try it with me. Just try it… When someone from your family is in a hospital, will I react like this?”

The actor further added that despite being 60 years old. he had “not forgotten how to fight”, jokingly adding, “Jail mein dalo ge haaa haaa.” Although Salman injected moments of humour into his posts, the overall message remained firm, offering what many online described as a reality check against toxic paparazzi culture in the entertainment industry.

His remarks also reignited conversations around celebrity privacy and the blurred line between public access and personal boundaries. Social media users largely came out in support of the actor, with many calling his reaction justified. Several users pointed out that being a public figure does not mean surrendering the right to privacy. particularly during a family emergency.
